SponsorshipX Toronto, Presented by Canadian Tire, will soon be underway, and I can't wait to thank all of you who have registered to start the conversation about The Future of Sports Marketing.

I have finished creating my Opening Keynote and have been putting the details into my script. While I won't walk on stage until February 1st, I would like to share some thoughts with you, especially since thousands of subscribers to SPX News and "only" 300 of you are attending SponsorshipX Toronto. 

When someone takes on talking about the Future, we need to recognize that it is an effort to share their thoughts and perspectives on what is coming up in order to provoke conversation and collaboration. My thesis is not being shared to convince you of something you don't believe in. However, I do share in provoking conversation.

To engage in deep thought on this, let's talk about something more significant than The Future of Sports Marketing as a subject by breaking it down into parts. 

Part 1 - The Future: What type of world do you want to see us living in? Do we have an equitable, affordable, sustainable, and peaceful world? If not, can we contribute to one?

Part 2 - Sports: Sometimes, when the sports ecosystem gets cloudy and stormy, I find remembering why I love sports reassuring. My more immense fear is that the generations may not feel the same. What are your thoughts?

Part 3 - Marketing: Where will marketing be going in the Future? Does the hype of AI distract us from the fundamentals of building strong value propositions that resonate with people?

Part 4 - You: The Future of sports marketing is you. You are the individual who is a vital part of the collective that will drive our industry forward, side by side and, hopefully, upside down. So how are you preparing?

Part 5 - The Future of Sports Marketing: What is more important to the fan? The athlete? The team? The league? Figure that out, and you will have a clear sense of tomorrow's opportunities.
