We invite you to join us in the heart of one of the world's most iconic cities for a three-day extravaganza that promises to redefine the way we think about sponsorship and fan engagement.

Wednesday August 7

Our journey kicks off at the iconic Canada Olympic House, nestled within the vibrant Parc de la Villette. Here, amidst the pulsating energy of the "Park of Nations," we'll immerse ourselves in insightful plenary sessions. Together, we'll explore the seamless integration of global partnerships, gaining valuable perspectives from TOP sponsors and international brands on data, measurement, and innovation.

Following this, get ready to step into the shoes of the ultimate fan during our Fan Experiences & Activation Tour. From digital engagements to live experiences, we'll dissect what truly resonates with fans on a global scale. It's not just about witnessing the magic of the Games; it's about taking home actionable insights to elevate our own fan engagements.

As the day draws to a close, we'll gather for the SPX Global Networking Dinner, set against the picturesque backdrop of the river Seine. Amidst music, art, and delectable cuisine, we'll forge meaningful connections and unwind in the tranquil ambiance of Paris.

Thursday August 8

Day two is dedicated to unraveling the intricacies of brand partnerships and social impact in a global landscape. Join us for more captivating plenary sessions where international brand marketers, properties, and consultants will dissect the latest trends and challenges shaping the sponsorship industry.

However, the real adventure awaits during our Fan Experiences & Activation Tour. As we venture into the heart of Paris on our second Activation Tour, you will witness firsthand how countries, brands, and the city itself comes together to create an unparalleled sporting spectacle, like the Olympics 2024. With surprises in store along the way, prepare to be inspired like never before!

Friday August 9

As we reach the final day of SponsorshipX Paris, we turn our focus towards the future of broadcast sports. Panels and behind-the-scenes discussions will shed light on the latest innovations in broadcasting technologies, from AI to XR, offering unparalleled opportunities for partners to leverage.

Later in the afternoon, we will embark on our final Activation Tour, where we'll go behind the scenes with a major brand partner to uncover the secrets behind their immersive activation site. Gain valuable insights into strategy, creativity, and execution as we witness firsthand the magic of sponsorship come to life.

Finally, join us for one last soirée at a traditional Parisian brasserie, where we'll raise a glass to new friendships, shared experiences, and the promise of future collaborations. As we bid adieu to SponsorshipX Paris 2024, remember that this is not goodbye but rather, à bientôt

Brand Champion Persona

By Mark Harrison, Founder, SponsorshipX

Life goes full circle.

I first met Andrew Greenlaw when he attended our first sponsorship conference in 2005. His role was sponsorship manager for the Whitehorse 2007 Canada Games. Today, he carries the integral title of Vice President of Sponsorship Community and Brand for CIBC. In between, he's been the marketer behind the famed Red Mittens of the 2010 Olympics, worked in the UK for Lloyd's on the 2012 Ganes, and has been at CIBC for a dozen years, with the recent addition of Brand to his portfolio.

In short, Andrew Greenlaw is a Brand Champion.

Before the Olympics and the spotlight of the Canadian banking industry, Greenlaw once turned his parent's garage into a hockey card store. Still, after a summer of only one sale, that early iteration into sports marketing was unceremoniously closed. Next up was his Jerry Maguire moment, which motivated him to attend Laurentian University's prestigious  SPAD program. In Sudbury, Greenlaw found his business footing in this industry and learned the value of teamwork.

These lessons would serve him well throughout his career, from orchestrating torch relay campaigns to mobilizing communities in the CIBC Run for the Cure. He has rubbed shoulders with everyone from Christine Sinclair to Connor McDavid.

Ever humble, Greenlaw is a leader who talks more about others than himself. One of his most valued mentors was the late Nicola Kettlitz. A name that brings a smile to the face and a lump in the throat of so many in our industry graced by this magnificent Italian who led Coca-Cola's efforts at the 2010 Olympics and loved Canada so much he jumped off the Games train to stay here and run the company's Canadian business. Nicola was the most inspiring of humans who adopted Canada and inspired countless partners and people before his untimely passing at 53 years old.

We eagerly anticipate a full circle moment when Andrew Greenlaw returns to our Forum and takes the stage at the SponsorshipX Whistler event. His 1:1 TalkShow about Brand Champions is a fitting platform for someone present at our first event and has witnessed the industry's evolution.

I can't think of someone better to talk about being a Brand Champion, both from a legacy perspective and from a perspective of tomorrow. My only challenge will be getting this former George Brown 5 to Watch winner to talk about himself.

Can you ask him during our mountain hike?

Life Goes Full Circle

Andrew Greenlaw's career journey encapsulates the essence of a Brand Champion.

From his early days as a sponsorship manager for the 2007 Canada Games, he became Vice President of Sponsorship, Community, and Brand at CIBC.

His career highlights include critical roles in major projects like the 2010 Olympics' Red Mittens campaign and work with Lloyd's for the 2012 Olympics. A graduate of Laurentian University's SPAD program, Greenlaw's early attempts at sports marketing include a brief stint running a hockey card store in his parent's garage. His career includes significant contributions to community mobilization, exemplified by his work on the CIBC Run for the Cure and orchestration of torch relay campaigns.

Known for his humility, let's celebrate Andrew Greenlaw's achievements and ability to elevate those around him.

His upcoming fireside chat at the SponsorshipX Whistler event, focusing on Brand Champions, is highly anticipated as it reflects his legacy and forward-looking perspectives in the industry.
